189. Woman

Women bongo players….

And you ask why?   For the flame dancers, of course….they need a beat to dance to…

Yesterday we went to the Pirate Festival,  kinda like a Reinassance Faire, but w/ Pirates.   The day pretty much got rained out, but there was still a little going on.

  1. Like how much that woman bongo player closest to us is so “into” it. Too bad you can’t ask people to move out of the way so that you can get exactly the photo you want! This woman fits the her role perfectly.

  2. I like that the few in the background are wearing the achetypical pirate stripes too, shiver me timbers, drummer wenches are so 1600’s LOL

  3. We all know why you were there, and it was not the bongo players.

  4. Nothing like a flame-juggling pirate to liven up a rainy day! Fun photos.

  5. It reminds me of a place that Captain Bligh; aka Ron might frequent.

    • Funny Mike, I thought the same thing!

      • Bet neither you nor Mike knew that after the Bounty fiasco Blight went on to become the Governor of New South Wales (Sydney) and that the attitude that brought about the Bounty Mutiny, again proved pivotal in Bringing about the infamous Rum Bebellion in that colony. I know you can understand revolting when your booze ration is cut. LOL

      • I’d be in on that revolt, for sure! 🙂

  6. Do you get the feeling that this guy used to have a hairy chest?

  7. Don’t you wonder how people end up doing the things they do? LOL

  8. So loving that daydreaming dog!
    Too sweet.

  9. the top photo reminds me of the Sunday afternoon drum-ins in Woodstock, NY.

  10. That looks so cool! Think I’d rather beat the bngo than dance with flames. 🙂

  11. to the gentleman who would like to use my bongo drum picture….sorry I accidently deleted your contact info to send the picture to…please resend the info and I will get the picture to you! A computer guru I am not lol
