187. Tender Moments

Look what we have….baby cardinals!  I never knew the dad cared for the young.  Here is a fleeting tender moment between dad and baby.

  1. Wow! You actually captured this and with such clarity! I’ve seen the Mourning Doves do this (not sure mom or dad or both)… but with the male cardinal so distinct, it makes for a great “Hallmark “moment. Well, a twisted kind of Hallmark card. “Happy Father’s Day, thanks for the upchuck and all you did for me.” Seriously, this is a great shot!

  2. Love this! Such a great capture! Congrats!

  3. Shovimg things down the throat of the young, is your idea of tender! Are you looking to move into politics perhaps? LOL

  4. That is an amazing photo!! So wonderful that you were able to capture this.

  5. Great capture! Wonderful bit of nature at its best!

  6. Great capture Tammy, with a sketch effect it would make for awesome Hallmark.

  7. Wow, that’s a big baby! Glad Dad is doing some of the chores! Another great shot in that awesome bird feeder of yours.

  8. Precious image! Let’s toast to dads who share in parenting duties!

  9. That is a great shot and a very big baby indeed. From what I’ve seen you also have some big offspring, gives a whole new slant to ‘eat up’ boys.

  10. Awww, so precious. I didn’t know the male got involved with feeding either, very surprised at that. But fair’s fair… really great capture.

  11. Wow, stunning shot, how lovely! 🙂 hope you get some more shots of the cardinal family.
