147. Emptiness

We spent a few days in Winter Park, Colorado….off season (although we did find our skiing destination for next winter)!  We had the place virtually to ourselves except for a handful of mountain bikers.  All of the bars and eating establishments looked like this!

  1. Suddering Seasonal Sickness.

  2. Perfect shot for the theme! You’ll have to take another if you go back for skiing! Must have been nice not to have to fight the crowds.

  3. Sometimes it’s nice to have a place to oneself, I compare that with the small village Trosa nearby wich is full of people in summer and almost dead in winter. Every season got it’s berauty 😉 I can imagine that place in winter…. it’s a very good photo for the theme

  4. Drove through WP on our trip, too, but didn’t stop for lunch until we got to Grand Lake. WP looked about as busy as your photo…

  5. I have a friend that just came back from Colorado, she said it was mosquito city. She had ten mosquito bites even in the day time, does that sound right?

  6. Great take on the theme! Love the vividness of the colors and the flowers in the foreground.

  7. Looks like the perfect time to visit for sure! We were there a couple of years ago in June I think and it was a wee bit busier.

    • I think it was so dead because we were there on 2 weekdays…I think they were planning on a crowd for the weekend bikers!

  8. It looks like a great place to have a meal. It will be full soon. Great contrast picture.

  9. Looks like a nice place to sit back and relax. When is our Ski vacation – I’ll meet you there!

  10. This is the way I like to visit places… off season! I like the slice of potential life that you capture here.
