139. Ground Level

While exploring Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park we came across these huge red mushrooms…I had never seen mushrooms this large, let alone red….

    the mushrooms looks like the Karl Johanssvamp (http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stensopp) we have in Sweden and they can be up to about12-15 cm’s. I don’t know if that is huge for you 😉

    • LOL Val, they kinda scared me too…I also saw some bright red little ones…I will have to post those when I find them!
